About Ivory & Sage Events
boise Wedding & Event Planner
I’m so glad you’re here!
I’m Courtney, the Owner of Ivory & Sage Events, a coordination and design company based in Boise, Idaho.
I just recently moved back to Idaho after living in Las Vegas for the past 7 years, #VEGASBABY! I attended UNLV and received my degree in Nutrition Science in 2015. So, why weddings you might ask? After graduation, I realized nutrition was more of a personal passion than a career so I did some soul searching.
I came to the conclusion that my 8+ years in the hospitality industry plus my constant urge to decorate and design could be put to use in the wedding world. I started working with some of Las Vegas’s incredible wedding vendors and gained SO much experience. 3 years later, here I am running Ivory & Sage.
Someone asked me what I love most about being a wedding planner and this was my response: “While I love logistics and designing and making things beautiful, what really does me in is seeing the special, behind-the-scenes moments on a wedding day, that most family and friends don’t get the pleasure of viewing.
Like a Mom helping her daughter into a wedding dress or watching a Dad lace his son’s tie, or witnessing a bridal party pray over the soon-to-be Mrs. These are the moments that make the stress of being a wedding planner SO worth it.”
So, yes, while being a perfectionist and extremely detail oriented are great skill sets of mine, I would say my success as a coordinator comes from truly caring about my couples.
In September of 2018 I married my college sweetheart, Josh. He is the most supportive, caring & funny human and I just love doing life with him.
We have two fur babies; a boy and girl cat named Stella & Arty. To say they’re loved is an understatement, we basically consider them real children.
I may not be using my nutrition degree but I still have a strong passion for health and fitness and don’t consider my day complete until I’ve had a good sweat session.
I also have a strong passion for French fries and pizza, life’s all about balance right?!
Happy Hour is the best hour. I love a good spicy margarita, glass of rosé or red wine.
Floral is my favorite color, yes it’s a thing.
My happy place is on the water, preferably a lake but the ocean will do too.
In my spare time my husband & I love to camp, hike, try new restaurants, travel and sometimes binge a good TV show.
