White Willow Estate Idaho Venue. Image is of back of old fashioned car with just married signed adorned with foliage. Large estate in background

You’ve got the love, you’ve got the ring, now let’s find the venue! Locking in a wedding venue allows you to start making decisions on the overall design and aesthetic for your big day, aka the fun part! I invite you to keep reading for a deep dive on one of my most favorite venues to design weddings at- White Willow Estate.

Located in Star, Idaho, White Willow Estate says it all in the name, you truly feel like you’re at a grand estate! The white fence lined lane leads you to this venue and is adorned with grand weeping willows. It boasts riverfront views and gives off an overall calming southern charm vibe! The estate is gorgeous on its own and offers so much to the overall aesthetic of the venue.

Fun fact: the owners raise racehorses on this property and have about 40 at any given time. This does add another fun element and while it gives some country vibes it doesn’t feel too rustic. For me, it’s the river views and open green space that makes it the ideal property for creating the wedding of your dreams.

Important Details:

This beautiful venue is also home to the owners and for that reason, there is limited access to the house itself. They do however offer access to spaces in the estate for both wedding parties to get ready. The bridal suite is large and has great lighting, which is ideal for hair and makeup! The grooms quarter is a bit smaller but still offers plenty of room for the boys to hangout and get dressed. Both spaces have private bathrooms. Even though no indoor wedding options are available, the venue is expansive and could easily accommodate a tent set-up.

What this Venue Includes:

There is a large dirt lot for guest parking. The venue rental also includes two onsite porta-potties and they are cleaned between each event. You could also look into renting a Luxury Mobile Restroom! As far as decor, the venue includes bistro lighting over the reception area. Beyond that restrictions are minimal as long as it is left in the same condition before the event. This venue also permits open flames, meaning live candles are OK!

Venue Specifics:

  • The rental fee for White Willow Estate is $3,500
  • The venue guest count maximum is 500 people.
  • All caterers are welcome in this space!
    • It is important to note that they do not have a prep kitchen or a drinkable water source.
  • Beer & wine can be served without a liquor license.
    • However, to serve hard alcohol it must be served by someone with a liquor license.
  • You need to provide event insurance when renting the venue.
    • It’s not hard to obtain and generally runs about $150.
  • The event end time is 11:00 PM

I’ve had the opportunity to design and coordinate four different weddings at this venue, and one of those was my very own! For that reason, I’d be lying if I said I wasn’t biased towards this little slice of heaven. This venue may not include a lot but what I love about it, is the room it gives for creativity and the possibility of working with various vendors.

This is a picture collage of images from a wedding that took place at White Willow Estate and Idaho wedding venue. The top image the bride and groom are holding hands with their backs against a pillar before seeing each other. Second image is the bride and groom at their head table with views of the river in the back ground. Final image is a stunning landscape photo of bride and groom walking and holding hands as they walk a long the river.
